About
A US trader on a $50K account with a real edge has nowhere to take it. We're building the place.
Sisul connects algorithmic traders with accredited investors through separately managed accounts under an RIA umbrella. There's no shortage of profitable traders, and no shortage of capital looking for returns. What the US is missing is a safe, legal rail between the two, so individual quants end up launching funds they can't afford, grinding prop-firm challenges, or posting screenshots on Twitter. We think that's a problem of verification and structure, not a fact of life.
Why now
For most of the last decade this product couldn't have existed. Then retail brokers like Alpaca opened real APIs, so an individual quant could run a strategy on real capital without a prime broker or a Bloomberg terminal. Cryptographic chains and public timestamping turned "this is my real track record" from a claim into something you can prove. And SEC Rule 506(c) made it legal to publicly solicit accredited investors, as long as you take reasonable steps to verify them.
Each of those removed a different blocker. With all of them gone, the platform that joins them should exist. In the US it still doesn't. Versions exist abroad; nobody has built the US one.
What we won't compromise on
- The chain is the product.
- Verification is the whole point. We never edit history and we never show synthetic data as real. The hash chain reads through to Bitcoin via OpenTimestamps, and anyone can re-derive it without our help.
- Custody stays with the investor.
- At launch your money sits in your own brokerage account. We get permission to place trades, never custody, and you can withdraw any day.
- Performance fees only.
- No 2-and-20, no flat subscription. A trader earns a share of the profit they make you, on a high-watermark basis, so you never pay twice for the same gain.
- Pre-license, no money moves.
- We are not an RIA yet. Until that's solved, every "allocate" button is a non-binding signal, and the regulatory page says so in plain language.
What we're building right now
The verification engine, the marketplace, the trader and investor onboarding, the simulated mirror engine, and the operational tooling we'd need to actually run an SMA business at launch.
Alongside the software: RIA partnership conversations and the Series 65 path. Both are required before any real money moves, and both are slower than shipping code, which is exactly why they're the gate.
The roadmap that drives the work lives in docs/roadmap.md. The regulatory position is at /legal/regulatory, security at /legal/security, and the verification details at /how-it-works.
